Obituary of Raymond "Ray" Lee VanGundy
Raymond "Ray" Lee VanGundy, 68, husband of Carla Mueller VanGundy, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born in Alameda, CA on August 5, 1953 to the late Harold W. and Lucille B. VanGundy. Ray worked for the State Journal and Cynthiana Democrat in Kentucky and he was a Journeyman Printing Press Operator. He was a great guy who was always making people laugh and he loved playing golf.
In addition to his wife of 28 years, he is survived by his siblings, Laura (Troy) Inman, NC, Keith (Bonnie) VanGundy, SC, and Janice VanGundy, NC; his nieces and nephews, Dayna (Dave) Gerlach, NC, Troy Inman, II, NC, Chris Inman, FL, Wesley Silveira, NC, Ronda (Jeff) Thomas, FL, and Kate (Wayne) Consislio, FL; 1 great niece; and 4 great nephews.
Services will be planned at a later date. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project at www.support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
