Raymond James "Ray" Weiler, 62, of Byram Township, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. Born in Staten Island, New York, to the late William and Veronica Weiler, Ray was deeply rooted in the spirit of his hometown, recently relocating to the Cranberry Lake area of Byram Township where he continued to embrace life with his characteristic vigor and warmth.
An individual of many passions, Ray found solace in the serenity of the golf course, the tranquility of cruising on his boat, the thrill of fishing, and the excitement of watching sports. His dedication to these activities was a testament to his free-spirited nature and his unwavering love for adventure. A true patriot at heart, Ray's love for his country shone brightly in his everyday life, inspiring those around him.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, William and Veronica Weiler, as well as his three siblings: Billy Weiler, Mickey Merrell, and Ronnie Loesch. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne, and their five sons: Thomas, AJ (Samantha), Raymond, Christian, and Casey; his grandson, Nicholas Anthony; and his two sisters: Susanne Dixon and Gerri Laub.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled from 3:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St, Netcong, NJ 07857. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Good Shepherd RC Church, 48 Tranquility Rd, Andover at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, condolences can be shared at NetcongFuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ray's name to Tunnel to Towers (t2t.org), an organization that honors the sacrifice of firefighters, law enforcement officers, and military personnel who risk their lives to protect and serve their communities. Raymond was just a fun loving person, good natured, always smiling. He loved to bust chops, but would give the shirt off his back to you. Alway would help any one out, loved to fish, play the drums, golf. Never a dull moment! And alway good to talk to. Anyone who knew him was honored! Rest in peace, my friend. The world needs more people like you.in it
