Raymond D. Weston

In loving memory of Raymond Dale Weston
(December 26, 1947-November 6, 2024)
An educator and a beloved family member
Raymond Dale Weston entered into rest on November 6, 2024. He was 76 years old. Born in Middletown, CT on December 26, 1947, he was the son of the late Paul A. and Huldah L. (Harris) Weston. Raymond spent his life living in Shelton, CT where he served his community as an educator in both Shelton High School and Shelton Intermediate School. He used his mnemonic memory and his creative puns to teach historical and geographical information to his students. He even worked on two books using these methods. He took art and computer classes in college, but found his love of history there, receiving his bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut State University and his master's degree from University of Bridgeport. He was also an avid fan of the NY Yankees, the UCONN basketball teams, and the NY Giants.
He was the beloved father of Christina Landau and Gregory Landau, brother of Dennis (Sandy) Weston and Phyllis (James) Rollinson, and the uncle of Christopher (Michelle) Weston, Eric (Danielle) Weston, James (Kristen) Rollinson, Jr., Denise Rollinson, and the late Deborah Rollinson. He was blessed to know his grandnieces and nephews Anthony
Weston, Riley Weston, Madalyn Rollinson and Lucas Weston.
Remembrance calling hours will be held at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, CT on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 11:30 am at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, CT followed by a burial service at Riverside Cemetery.
