Raymond Arthur Williams, 62, of Greenwood, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2025.
He was born in Point Pleasant, NJ, and later graduated from Spencer-VanEtten High School, Spencer, NY in 1981. After graduating high school, Ray proudly served our country in the US Marine Corps with the 2nd Marine Division, with tours in Granada and Beirut, Lebanon, among others. He later graduated with an AAS degree from Bryant & Stratton College.
Ray retired from AT&T in South Florida in 2016. He enjoyed nature photography, camping and the outdoors.
Raymond is predeceased by his mother, Carole Ann Zekoll Williams of Greenwood, FL, and his father, Ronald Albert Williams, of Toms River, NJ.
He is survived by his son, Shane Williams of Mooers, NY, his sisters, Linda Williams Kauppinen and Lorraine Williams Brecka of Greenwood, FL, his half-sister, Nicole Williams (Ryan) Cassidy of Toms River, NJ, his nephews, Erik Kauppinen, Douglas Glann, Ryan Youngblood, and his niece, Melissa Glann Longo.
Services will be 1 PM EST Friday, February 28, 2025 in Tallahassee National Cemetery. Memorialization will be by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
