Ray worked as a Lieutenant Firefighter at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory for 19 years. Ray also worked part-time for Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services for 15 years. Ray was also a life-member of the Savage Volunteer Fire Company totaling 39 years, holding several officer positions, including Chief. Ray was a devoted member of the fire company, making great friends.
Although Ray loved to spend his time at the firehouse, his family was his priority. Ray loved taking family vacations to listen to the waves crash and playing competitive games of mini-golf. Ray also loved to go on long rides on his motorcycle with his friends, hunting with his dad, brother, and son, and building anything you could think of.
Visitation will be held at the Savage Volunteer Fire Company, 8521 Corridor Road, Savage, MD on Tuesday, June 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at SVFC on Wednesday, June 12 at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Savage Volunteer Fire Department in Ray's memory. Please scan the QR code above.
