Rayola Ellis Richardson passed away on Wednesday November 5, 2025 in Holladay, Utah at the age of 95 with her family by her side.
Rayola was born in Clark, Idaho on December 16, 1929 to Frederick and Mable Ellis.
She married Jack Everett Richardson on October 20, 1946. They had been married 32 years when Jack passed away in 1979. She lived 62 years in her home in Holladay.
Rayola loved to go camping, fishing and boating with her family. Most of all she loved working in her yard. She had a beautiful yard where many of her children and grandchildren were married. She loved making crafts, especially woodworking. She crotched the most beautiful doilies and table runners, and afghan blankets. She loved figurines, especially chickens, angels, and ceramic dolls. She worked for Mayfair Market and Smith’s Food King for 42 years and after staying home for a few years she worked next door at Bonneville Junior High until she was 80 years old.
Rayola was preceded in death by her husband Jack, son Kent, grandsons Jacob and Michael, and great granddaughter Havalee. Both parents, and all of her siblings including her twin sister Viola
She is survived by son Dennis (Eva) Richardson of South Jordan, Utah; Daughter Karin (Leonard) Johnstone of Sandy, Utah; Daughter Sandy (Ed) Gibson of West Valley City, Utah; Daughter-in-law Colleen Richardson of Bluffdale, Utah; and Daughter Cindy (Jeff) Greer of Draper, Utah. 20 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren, and 34 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Melesein for her compassionate care and love of mom in her last hours. And thank you to Renew Hospice, nurse Hali and Daisy for their care and aid.
