Reba Mae Styles Hollifield, age 86, of Altapass Highway in Spruce Pine, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Green's of Spruce Pine.
Born on January 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Dorothy Riddle Styles. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hollifield who passed away in 2021. Also preceding her in death was her daughter; Judy Hollifield, her brothers; David, Vic, and Ray Styles and her sisters; Jesse Frye and Lula Belle Styles.
Reba Mae was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to church. She also enjoyed listening to gospel music and working in her flowers.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Debbie Riddle and husband, Gene of Spruce Pine, her son; Seve Hollifield and wife, Tina of Spruce Pine, her sisters; Mary Carpenter of Spruce Pine, Margie Sparks of Spruce Pine, Jean Stewart of Marion and Anita Buchanan and husband, Arthur of Spruce Pine, four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
The funeral service honoring the life of Reba Mae Hollifield will be on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Darrin Waldroup, Rev. Arthur Buchanan and Rev. Jerry Sparks officiating. Interment will be in the Bethal Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet and greet friends one hour prior to the service at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special 'Thank You' to the staff of The Green's of Spruce Pine and to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care for their care of Reba Mae.
