Funeral services for Reba Jo (Childers) Shadell, 85, of Muldrow, were at 10 a.m. Tues., March 28, 2023, at Lee's Chapel Assembly of God church in Muldrow.
Burial followed at Lee's Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Shadell was born Oct. 8, 1937, n Gans, to Cleve and Ola Mae (Harvey) Childers. She died Tues., March 21, 2023, in Muldrow.
She married Joe Franklin Shadell on May 12, 1956 in Poteau. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2022.
She retired after many years with Muldrow Public Schools. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation and Lee's Chapel Church.
Survivors are a son, Doug of the home; daughter, Debra Fischer of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Dewana Stanley and Deanne Shadell; her parents; two sisters, Vera Melton and Norma J. Dermody; and three brothers, Cleve Childers, Jr., Virgil Childers and Mike Childers.
Pallbearers were Justin Weaver, Bruce Stanley, Danny Morgan, Andy Jones, Jackie Jones and Mitchell Hixson.
Honorary pallbearer was Richard Huggins.
