Becky's greatest joy was her family. She was the proud grandmother of six, who were the light of her life: Parker, Kerrigan, Caden, Hunter, Emersyn, and Addyson. Becky was also deeply connected to her Norwegian family, and is survived by her daughter Marit Vollan, along with her grandchildren Julie, Ole, Maja, and Markus. She is also survived by a brother David (Sue) Smith, a sister Gayla Foster and step siblings Trina and Gary.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dale and Wanda (Randall) Smith, stepmother Phyllis and her brother-in-law Lee Foster.
Becky was known for her selfless love, her unwavering faith, and her passion for serving others. She dedicated much of her life to caring for the elderly, always putting the needs of others above her own. Her kindness, strength, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. Becky was also renowned for her cooking, with countless memories of family gatherings and celebrations where her famous cookies and hearty meals brought people together.
In her final days, Becky demonstrated a courage and resilience that continues to inspire all who were fortunate enough to witness it. Her family will forever carry her legacy of love, service, and faith.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11 am at the Seville Community Church of God. A private family interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Alma at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of services all at the Seville Community Church of God. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Gratiot County Commission on Aging, 515 S. Pine Street, Ithaca MI 48847. Please keep Becky and her family in your prayers during this difficult time.
