Neil Gregory "Greg" Marr, age 72, of Alma passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alma with his family by his side. He was born October 10, 1952, in Alma the son of Neil and Donna (Harrison) Marr. He was a 1970 graduate of Ithaca High School and married Rosemary Hudecz on March 30, 1974, in Alma.

Greg was an entrepreneur, owning Mid-Michigan Container in Edmore with his partners, until they sold to a larger company. He then bought Quaker State Oil Change and Car Wash in Alma. Upon retirement he sold the business to his son Jason.

He played football in high school and later played county league basketball, softball and golf with a great group of friends.

Greg was an avid Spartan fan. He had season tickets for MSU football, and the family tailgated for many years. He loved to fish and spent many summers on Big Platte Lake. He loved walking his dog Cooper.

Greg is survived by his wife of 51 years Rosemary; his children Jason (Brandy) Marr, Angela (Tom) Harkins; grandchildren Hailey, Jacob, Madilyn, Ayla Rose, Nathan and Matthew; his siblings Trina (Jae) Evans, Carrie (Chuck) Seeley, Jeff (Malena) Marr; and his brothers and sisters-in-law George Bailey, Teresa (Rick) Holiday, Sue (Ed) Phelps, Tony (Maureen) Hudecz, Liz (Gary) Miller, Nick (Toni) Hudecz, Judy (Terry) Arnold, Barb (Jon) Bay; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Suzanne Bailey; and his brother-in-law Tim Hudecz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 11 am at Nativity of the Lord Parish, St. Louis. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the VFW National Home or St. Mary's School.
