Rebecca "Becky" Martin Obituary
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Rebecca "Becky" Kay Martin peacefully went home to be with the Lord at the blessed age of 67. She was born to the late Paul and Kathleen Phillips on September 22, 1957.
She graduated from East High School in 1976 and then worked at Klais and Co./United Health Care for 36 years. She was also a lifetime member of Goodyear Heights Community Church in Akron, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy Martin; mom, Kathleen Phillips; dad, Paul Phillips; mother-in-law, Leola Martin; brother-in-law, Ronald "Ronnie" Martin; and sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Turner.
Becky is survived by her brother, Gary (Mary) Phillips; sister, Kimberly (Charles) Harrison; son, Jason (Marketa) Martin; daughter, Ashley (Archie) Blair; grandchildren, Makira (John) Giner, Jason Martin III, Jakayla Martin, Archie Blair Jr., and Brooklyn Blair; great-grandson, Dante Giner; and a host of family and friends, including her best friend, Jacqueline Petrey. Also left to cherish her memory are brothers-in-law, Charles (Shar) Martin, Douglas (Ruth) Woodley, Nabeeh (Karen) Waheed, and Richard Martin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 12:00 noon with visitation for one hour prior at Goodyear Heights Community Church, 464 Brittain Rd., Akron, Ohio, Pastor Tim Klink officiating.
