Rebecca Sue Wall Braun, 78, of Louisville 1946 - 2025
With profound sadness, we share that Becky has passed away after a 3 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Becky (Mom, Grandma, GiGi) was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved by many. She was always available in a pinch for whomever needed her. She provided love and support to others during challenging and life-changing events. She took great pride in her appearance and always dressed to perfection.
Becky committed nearly 50 years of her life devoted to the nursing profession, caring for the sick. She loved Barbra Streisand music, going to the movies, traveling, attending church but mostly, she loved her family.
She will be remembered for her love of the Christmas holidays, her famous spaghetti and meatballs dinners and the special memories she shared with the ones she loved so much. Her family is comforted in knowing she is finally at peace and reunited with those who preceded her in death. She will be deeply missed.
She was predeceased by her infant son, Edward Peake, father, Edward Wall, mother, Barbara Black, brother, Frank Wall, sister, Janet Cole, son in law, Mark Henry and brother in law, Billy Higgins.
Survivors include, her children Johnna Hart (Phil), Alan Peake (Gwen), Stephanie Henry (Dicky Wheatley) and Michael Fain. Grandchildren, Chris, Brian, Rebecca Fulgham (Marlon), John, Lauren, Sarah, Andrew, Rachael, Alex, Adam, Jenna, AJ (Olivia), Amanda Stevens (Lee), Grace, and Ryn. Great grandchildren, Stella, Norah, Khashton, Calvin, Noah and Iris. Her brother, Michael Wall (Linda) sister, Pat Higgins and sister, Katie Hunt (Richard).
Funeral service will be 10 am Thursday, January 30, 2025, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40222, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews.
