In Loving Memory of Rebecca Lynn Brown

The world lost an extraordinary woman with the passing of Rebecca Lynn Brown, whose kindness, courage, and vibrant spirit touched every life she encountered.

A trailblazer by nature, Rebecca made history as the first female building maintenance worker for Ohio Bell, breaking barriers and inspiring others with her determination and work ethic. Beyond her groundbreaking career, she was a woman of many passions — a devoted lover of music, animals, and softball, and a proud member of the band Galadriel, where her musical soul shined brightly. Whether through a song, a game, or a simple act of kindness, she brought joy and light wherever she went.

Her laughter was infectious, her compassion unwavering, and her strength undeniable. She leaves behind a legacy of love, independence, and authenticity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Rebecca is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her life partner, Debbie, and her sisters, Diana Studer and Linda Thompson, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews — all of whom were blessed by her warmth, humor, and wisdom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Bernice Brown, and her brother, Lt. Col. Donald Williams, who now welcome her home with open arms.

Though her melody may have ended here on earth, the music of her spirit will play on in our hearts forever.
