Laurie (Kaplan) Pollard 68 passed away peacefully on October 18 2025. She was born in Burbank CA and raised in San Pedro CA. Later moved to Cuyahoga Falls OH in 1984.
She spent her early years living on the beautiful Southern California coastline. She was living in a home with a spectacular ocean view when she first met her husband. She spent 8 years working as an inventory control specialist for TRW Aerospace.
Upon arrival to OH many trips were taking throughout the midwest and eastern coastline. Historical sites of interest and major league ballparks were all visited.
A trip was made to Reno NV. Then on May 16th 1988 that is when I married my husband.
Laurie enjoyed music, reading, sports and taking walks with her dogs. She loved nature, plants, animals, trees and the changing of the four seasons. She had a good positive attitude and was very helpful. She had the answer for almost any question. She was very strong when she was battling major illnesses. Being of Danish descent she told doctors she had viking blood.
Laurie was preceded in death by her father Daniel Kaplan and mother Inge (Bargild). Laurie is survived by her husband Jeff Pollard.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
