Becky was born on April 17, 1954, in Lafayette to the late John and Carolyn "Jean" (Payne) Wierenga. She married her late husband Donald L. "Don" Bush on July 19, 1972. Their loving marriage lasted for 45 wonderful years ending at Don's passing.
Becky was a strong, hard-working woman who took pride in her ability to work many years in maintenance while also being a devoted wife and mother. She was employed by the Tippecanoe County Maintenance Department for the last 20 years. During her last days Becky was recognized by the Commissioners for her long-time dedication. She met a co-worker, Kathy Ramey(survives), at Williamsburg Apartments in 1976. They went on to be best friends and co-workers for 45 years.
Becky enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family. She loved having her family and friends over at her pool that she made sure was always perfect. She also enjoyed going to festivals, cooking, watching game shows, and taking care of her home.
Becky is survived by two daughters, Kelly Michelle (Doug) McManomy and Heather Nicole (Michael) Weida both of Lafayette. One stepson, Donald L. (Lori) Bush ll of Lafayette. Seven grandchildren: Riley and Reagan Weida, Max and Maddy McManomy, Nathan and Nicholas Bush and Natalie Miller. She is also survived by five great grandchildren. Two brothers John Wierenga of Tarpon Springs, FL and Dave (Diane) Wierenga of Lafayette. One sister Sharon (Jerry) Etter of Lafayette. Her beloved dogs Benny and Harper.
Memorial visitation will be Friday August 23, 2024, from 2pm -4pm Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel followed by the memorial service at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the Loving Heart Animal Shelter 512 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lafayette, IN 47905

I remember when my cousin, Donnie Bush (Her Husband), first introduced me to Becky when I was a child. She wasted no time extending her kindness and graciousness to me, which lasted for an additional 51 years. Becky has always been kind and hospitable to me no matter what my circumstances were--she would meet you right where you were at without judgment. She was always that kind of person and I do not recall her speaking ill of anyone. I'm sure she is in Heaven now and she will be sorely missed here on earth. I Love you Becky. Rest in Peace. Mark A.
