Rebecca Jane Cox, age 61, of The Plains, Ohio, passed away February 15, 2025, at the Riverside United Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Becky was born July 9, 1963, in Athens, Ohio to Thomas Shipley and Virginia Brooks. Becky enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing poker, cards, and crocheting.
Surviving are her children, Larry Shipley, Louise (Mike Warren) Shipley, and Teri Lee Shipley; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Shipley, Ray Ray Rutter, Tawnie Rutter, Madison Shipley, Cheyenna Shipley, Mathias Rutter, Gabby Jane Shipley, and Calista Althouse; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Jane Shipley and Ledger Bond; best friends, Jeff Darnell and Tammy Browning; "special" friends, Anette Stamm, Dawn (Nate) Coey; and dogs, Lily, Coco, and Fat-Fat.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Cox; parents, Virginia May Brooks and Thomas Shipley; daughter-in-law, Paige Shipley; and son-in-law, Chad Perry.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield, Ohio.
Calling hours will be observed 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 20, 2025, and 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
