Rebecca Stephens Cromer, 77, of 420 Red Road, Westminster, SC, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was reunited with her son, Bryan. A native of Oconee County, Rebecca was the daughter of the late Charles Eston and Opal Hopper Stephens. She was formerly married to Ronnie Cromer who she shared two children with. Rebecca was lovingly partnered with Mack Smith of Westminster, for forty years. In addition to her partner, Rebecca is survived by her daughter: Veronica "Connie" Kuhman (Paul) of Excello, MO; step-sons: Chris Smith (DaLynn) of Westminster and Greg Smith of Westminster; seven grandchildren: Colbie Richardson of Macon, MO, Alex Palmer (Matt) of Knob Noster, MO, Rachel Lorance (Travis) of Columbia, MO, Johnathan Smith (Noelle) of Westminster, SC, Charlie Smith (Grace) of Westminster, SC, Sam Smith of Westminster, SC and Cameron Cromer (Lorelei) of Colorado Springs, CO and Seven great-grandchildren. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and her son: Bryan Charles Cromer. Rebecca started her career out of high school at the Chicopee Plant later Avondale Mills She worked for 39 years before the plant closed. She then worked at the Treasurer's Office from 2006-2009, Probate Office from 2009-2017 and was working part-time at Registration and Elections before her death. Working was a big part of Rebecca's life and she enjoyed her work and the friends she made. Rebecca was an avid reader, she loved working and admiring her flowers, a lot of which she kept and grew from her mother. Rebecca loved all animals and watching Chiefs football. She loved the Lord and enjoyed watching online worship on Sundays with Pastor Tim and Golden Corner Church. She was lovingly called "Granny Becker" by her grandchildren, and was known as "Becca" to many friends. She was a hard worker and all who knew her loved her. She was a loving partner, mother, grandmother and friend. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at Davenport Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Friday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills, Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672, in memory of her beloved son, Bryan Cromer. "Though he brings grief, he will show compassions, so great is his unfailing love." Lamentations 3:32
