Rebecca Malbon Cullipher

Rebecca Malbon Cullipher passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025 after a wonderful life of family and service to others. She was born on March 2, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Kit and Mae Malbon. She was also predeceased by her brother, Roger Malbon. She was in the first graduating class for Princess Anne High School.

Becky is survived by a loving husband, Louis, of 65 years; daughters, Pam Walsh (Russ), Kim Cullipher; and son, Mike Cullipher (Jane); grandchildren, Hunter Walsh (Lauren), Reid Walsh (Caroline), Dillon Flanagan (Nick), and Jeb Cullipher; great-grandchildren, Carter and Oliver Walsh.

Becky took great pride in mowing the lawn, planting flowers, and doing maintenance work around the house. She helped start Cullipher Farm by doing field work, driving the tractor, and helping Mike make deliveries before he could drive.

She devoted much of her time to taking her children to practice for sports, piano lessons, and after school activities. She helped with events at Charity Methodist Church and at the Senior Resource Center in Creeds.

She loved spending time with family and friends. Becky excelled in baking and cooking, sewing, gardening, taking care of others, collecting antiques, shopping, cheering for the N. C. State Wolfpack, and taking day trips with Louis.

The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to Dr. Michael Miller and his staff, Dr. Graham Watson and his staff, and Dr. Tammis Seipel and her staff for their excellent care. In addition, Becky's caregivers: Ashley, Michele, and Karen who brightened her day and were always there for her.

Nurse Kelli and attorney Ginny Brown were a tremendous help. Also, thank you to her niece, Lori Robinson, and her husband, Robbie, for their numerous visits, phone calls, flowers, and gifts. Becky benefited from all the many acts of kindness sent her way.

A church service will be held on September 17, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Charity United Methodist Church, 4080 Charity Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23457. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
