Rebecca Sue “Becky” Gill Ward, 75, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 3, 2025 at Summers Healthcare Center following a short illness.

Born February 19, 1950 in Hinton she was the daughter of the late Clarence William “Skeeter” and Ruth Keller Gill.

Becky was a former employee of Bowling’s Dairy Bar, G.C. Murphy Company and Ames. However, she found her passion in life when she became a Kindergarten Aide, helping her students create a picture memory book to present to their parents each year. Following retirement, you could always find her maintaining her yard and her flower garden.

Becky was preceded in death by two brothers, William Robert “Bill” Gill and Jack Richard Gill.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Finley Ernest “Ernie” Ward; one daughter Rebekah R. “Becky Ruth” Ward and partner Cyndie Haynes; one brother, Larry Gill and wife Karen and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Fox Cemetery at Brooks. Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Thursday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

We would like to thank the staff of Summers Healthcare Center for all of their kindness and compassion treating Becky like family, making her feel loved and valued.
