Rebecca "Becky" Hyde Wyman Currence, 62, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Saturday, July 19, 2025, at home surrounded by family and under the care of West Virginia Caring.
Becky was born Thursday, August 9, 1962, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Raymond Taylor and Lillian Scott. On January 20, 1980, she married Emory Currence who survives at home. They were together for forty-nine years.
Also left to cherish her memory are children, Melissa Martin and companion Ricky Nicholas, Veronica Scott, Timothy Currence and wife Jessica, Loretta Kline, Crystal Robles and husband Ray, Amber Miller and husband Dustin, Ashley Shaffer and husband Ronald, grandchildren, Charity Mussi and husband Michael, Frankie, Nick and fiancé Kaylei McBride, Ezra and fiancé Ally Grimmett, Jamal, Braiden, Trevor, Ty, Aspyn, Nash, Dom, Xaiver, Carson, Saya, Cyrus, Rhysand, Quinn, Tobias, Maverick, Anubis, Katai, great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Brooklyn, Jonah, Londyn, Levi, siblings, Billy Taylor, Tommy Eye, Jeff Scott, Marvin Taylor, Norman Decker, Wanda Tenney, Diane Martin, Shawn Adamy, Robert Taylor, David Lambert, George Lambert, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was one child, Maggie Marie Currence.
Becky attended school in Maryland. She had been employed at Silver Creek and C&J's Restaurant. She enjoyed flower gardening, crossword puzzles, baking and cooking, ginsenging, hunting and fishing, bird watching, horseback riding, and gambling.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 6 pm until 8 pm. Becky's request for cremation will then be honored.
