She born in Manhattan, New York, daughter of the late Howard and Thelma Elam.
Rebecca was educated in Trenton Public Schools.
She married Albert Lyles and this union was blessed with one son, Ronald Lyles.
She was self employed and worked tirelessly with elected officials to make Trenton a better place.
She loved helping others and spent most weekends selling new and used goods at the Columbus Flea Market.
Rebecca is survived by her only sister, Alimeta "Bunny" Evans of Columbus, OH, her son, Ronald Lyles of Tampa Florida; three (3) grandchildren: Ronald Butler, Kimberly Booker, and Reiyelle Lyles; seven (7) great-grandchildren: Quanisha, Lamar, Nia, Isaiah, Dominique, Tanasia, and Morgan; and four (4) great-great grandchildren: Nyla, A'Kasha, Aavya, and Leighton, other relatives and friends
