Rebecca “Becky” Nestlerode, our loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma, passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on March 27, 1956, Becky filled every room with laughter, stories, and love.
She married the love of her life, Mike, in 1973, and together they built a family that became her greatest joy. Her three children, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were truly the center of her world. She never missed a chance to cheer them on, brag about them, or share in their milestones.
Becky was active and spirited her whole life. In high school, she played field hockey, basketball, and gymnastics, and later enjoyed softball and shooting pool. She loved her summers at Uncle Don’s farm in Michigan, her many camping trips in Rich Hill since the ’70s, and her deep love for animals. She worked in a thrift store, at a daycare, and in a hospital, always caring for others with patience and kindness.
Her passions were simple but dear—frogs, the Kansas City Chiefs, her favorite phone games, and most of all, her family. Known for her funny stories told in many “personalities,” Becky made people laugh when they needed it most.
She will be remembered always for her humor, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely.
