Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Rabel, aged 54, passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on May 23, 2024. Her loss is completely unexpected and her family is profoundly saddened.
Becky was born to Neal and Jane Rabel in Houston, Texas on March 9, 1971 at St Joseph's Hospital, the same hospital where her mother was born 30 years prior. She was the oldest of three children.
She is survived by her loving parents, her brothers: Brent of Houston; Eric of The Woodlands (wife Cayce), nephew (Patrick), niece (Graycen); numerous aunts and uncles: Mike Nevinger of Houston, Glenn and Linda Rabel of Weimar, Lynnette and CD Prince of Pittsburgh, TX as well as numerous cousins.
Becky is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; Leslie & Rose Rabel and George & Anne Nevinger.
Becky grew up in Sharpstown, in southwest Houston. She attended Sutton Elementary, Jane Long Middle School, Sharpstown High School, and The Houston Learning Center graduating in 1988. Becky worked in laminating for many years and later in home retail sales.
Becky was a loving sister and daughter. She loved to travel especially if it was a road trip. She loved listening to live music and was always on the hunt for the best fajitas and a good margarita. She enjoyed tinkering in the yard with her mom and loved talking current events as well as sports.
Becky was an extremely proud aunt who loved keeping up with all the activities Patrick and Graycen were involved in: especially swimming, football, and track and field.
On Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM, Becky will be laid to rest at The Weimar Masonic Cemetery following a short graveside service. A 10 AM visitation will be held prior to the service at Hubbard Funeral Home in Weimar, Texas.

A cute story that I have to tell about Becky is from back in the 90's when the Dallas Cowboys were playing the Green Bay Packers, which was her favorite team at the time.
I was watching the game over at a friend's house and my Boyz were annihilating the Pack, so my friend and I decided to give Becky a "friendly" call just to give her a hard time and do some trash talking. It was all in good fun and she took it in stride, but finally she started to get irritated..............
All of a sudden she says to us, "Yeah, well, have you ever HEARD this?!!"
We both waited for a few seconds, anxious to hear what she had to tell us, when we suddenly realized that there was nothing but SILENCE and that she had HUNG UP on us!! LOLOL :-)
It was hilarious!! We tried calling her back several times, but she wouldn't answer her phone, lol. She finally picked up the phone the next day and we all just laughed our heads off at what she had done to us!! It was CLASSIC and SO Becky :-)
She was a force to be reckoned with, but underneath it all, she was a kind, funny, and compassionate person. BECKY, you will be missed, but never forgotten my friend!! Rest with the Angels! My deepest sympathies and prayers to all of her family and friends having to mourn this tremendous loss!!
With Condolences, Julie A. Steingas

I worked with her at Tuesday Morning for many years. She kept me laughing always knew everything that was going on. After work a few of us would go and have margaritas and Mexican food. I am so saddened by the news. It really makes me feel sad, because I would think of her and would say to myself to give her a call, just to say high, that's why we should never put off what's on our mine. Rest in heavenly peace my dear Rebecca.

In the years that we were together, we had a lot of good times together and seen a lot of things, you always had a special place in my heart in that place is empty can never be filled with your kindness and smile. I love you always. R.I.P. Greg

My deepest condolences to the family. Becky shared the same name, the same birth month and the same philosophy of kindness as I do. She was unapologetically herself and brought so much joy and laughter to all. Her smile lightened the moment and she spread kindness to all. She made me late so much in middle school but always got me out of trouble if she was a part. So many memories. So little time. RIP.....
