Rebecca 'Becky" Sheets

Rebecca June Sheets, age 75, of Mansfield, entered her eternal rest on September 10, 2025. She was born November 23, 1949, in Chillicothe, OH, a daughter of the late Melvin Gale McCloy and June Dyer Hastings.

Becky married Keith Kelly Sheets on August 22, 1970, in Chillicothe. They spent their early years of marriage in Middletown and Beaver Creek before settling in Rushville, OH. They raised two sons, Derek and Barry, on 40 beautiful acres of nature, rich with woods and wildlife that she cherished every day. She was devoted and loyal to her family. Becky found joy in preparing meals and special treats for her loved ones. Her fried dough, deviled eggs, buckeyes and Coca-Cola cakes were family favorites. She had a knack for mailing the perfect cards and celebrating life events with a sweet treat. Becky enjoyed traveling adventures and spoiling her dachshunds: Sammie, Sophie, Rachel, and Stanley. She took pride in her career as a bank teller, retiring from Chase Bank where she made close friendships.

Becky is survived and missed by her loving husband Keith, of 55 years, and her sons Derek and Barry (Amber). She will be forever cherished and remembered by her seven grandchildren: Madison, Jacob, Cole, Mitchell, Matthew, Benjamin, and Abigail, her two great grandchildren: Averee, and Adaline, her brother Jim (Cheryl) McCloy, her sibling in-laws: Kevin (Peggy), Kathleen Lefkowitz, Kimberly (Herb) Schuette, Kent (Anna), Kellie (David) Burroway, and (Ann Marie), her 19 nieces and nephews, her 24 great nieces and nephews, and her 7 great great nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Melvin McCloy, her mother, June Hastings, her brother, Micheal McCloy, and her sisters, Barbara Parker and Nancy Garrett. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Dr. Jerome and Jeanne Sheets, and her sibling in-laws, Kerry Sheets and Roger Lefkowitz.

Becky's family is profoundly grateful for the compassionate care provided by the healthcare professionals at Avita Health Systems and The James of OSU Wexner Medical Center.

It was Becky's wish for no funeral services to be held. A private celebration of life will be held for close family at a later date. Final arrangements provided by Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Homes.
