She was born on June 13, 1959, in Pocahontas, Arkansa to Beth Hefner and the late Jim Hefner.
In addition to her father, Rebecca was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Hefner and Billy Hefner.
She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Gary Smith of Alamo; mother, Beth Hefner of Jackson; son, Jeremy Smith (Leesa) of Trenton; two daughters, Melissa Duncan (Timothy) of Indiana and Jessica Rhodes (Gregory) of Gadsden; brother, Steve Hefner (Gara) of Bradford; and grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Shelby Smith, Seth Smith, Kaleb Rhodes and Ethan Rhodes.
A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Rebecca, please visit our floral store.
