Rebecca Miller Spann, age 80, of Jakin, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Spann will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Vic Stuart officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Interment will be held at Friendship Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Georgia Hospice or Gentiva Hospice.

Mrs. Spann was born in Donalsonville, GA, on Nov. 1, 1944, to Willie Virgil Miller, Jr. and Gussie Gilbert Miller.  She was the Valedictorian of her high school senior class.  Mrs. Spann worked as the secretary to the Human Resources Director at Georgia Pacific until her retirement.  She was a wonderful painter and artist, an excellent seamstress, and great cook.  Cooking for her family, especially her church family, brought her great joy.  One accomplishment of Mrs. Spann's that many might not be aware of was that she was a pilot! Singing at church brought great joy to her, she loved to worship  and serve.  Yard work was a favorite pasttime, but nothing brought greater joy than spending time with her grandson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Alisa Price and husband Perry of Donalsonville, GA and Jonathan Spann of Jakin, GA; her grandson, Peyton Price of Thomasville, GA; her brother, Lamar Miller and his wife Hazel of Hawaii; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Spann was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Virgil Miller, Jr. and Gussie Gilbert Miller; her husband, Larry Spann; and two brothers, Rabon Miller and Bruce Miller.
