Rebecca Fay Stewart, born on March 11, 1960, in Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in her beloved hometown. A woman of remarkable strength and unwavering dedication, Rebecca lived a life that radiated love, perseverance, and passion.

From an early age, Rebecca showed a fierce determination that defined her character. She dedicated her life to being a State Tested Nursing Assistant, a role she cherished wholeheartedly. Her exceptional skill and commitment to caring for others touched the lives of many, showcasing her innate ability to provide comfort and support to those in need. Whether through her work or in her personal life, Rebecca exemplified what it meant to be selfless.

As a mother, she was a guiding light to her daughters, Samantha Ralston and Rachel (Ben) Nealy, consistently offering them her unwavering encouragement and support. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Owen Nealy, whom she cared for deeply. Her pride in helping with his upbringing reflected her determination to cultivate a nurturing environment filled with love and understanding.

Beyond her professional and family endeavors, Rebecca embraced life with diverse interests that filled her spirit with joy. She adored motorcycle riding, relished spending time outdoors, and enjoyed tinkering with flowers, which brought her peace and beauty. Rebecca also shared special moments hunting with her husband, Richard Stewart, a bond that represented not only love but shared passions and adventures. Though Richard has passed on, his memory remains a vital part of Rebecca's enduring legacy.

Rebecca is survived by her loving father, Neville Ray Ralston; her siblings, Sandy (Jack) Jones, Danny (Sandra) Ralston, Phil (Sharon) Ralston, and Tracey Ralston-Noe; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives she enriched. The warmth of her presence and the stories of her remarkable journey will continue to resonate in their hearts.

She was a devoted daughter to her late mother, Wanda Ralston, and cherished the memories shared with her husband, Richard. Together, they overcame many obstacles, and Rebecca's proudest accomplishment was her journey toward recovery and maintaining sobriety, which she steadfastly pursued for the sake of her family.

Rebecca's touch will be felt at the visitation and memorial services held at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio, on September 17, 2025. The visitation begins at 5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM. In this gathering, family and friends will have the opportunity to celebrate her life and share the impact she made on everyone privileged to know her.
