Reda Good Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gooch Funeral Homes & Crematory - Rockville on Nov. 26, 2025.
Brazil- Reda Good, 82, of Brazil, formerly of Rockville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Reda was born on June 2, 1942, in Rowan County, Kentucky, to Earl Blackenbeckler and Gladys Lambert Blankenbeckler. On May 18, 1957, she married her childhood sweetheart, William Goodman. Together, they were blessed with seven children: Roy Mitchell Goodman (Debbie), Warren Goodman, Robert "Oscar" Goodman, Shelia Michael, Pat Goodman (Rhonda), Rebecca Norman (Perry), and Melissa Harpham (Mike).
Many years later, Reda met a wonderful man, John Good, and they were married on October 17, 1987. John and Reda remained devoted to one another and their blended family until John's passing on December 30, 2008. Stepsons Kenneth Good (Deceased), Mickey Good (Debbie) and Terry Good (Jackie) and their children shared a close bond with Reda. Reda's greatest joy was her family, which included 24 loving grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren whom Reda loved to the moon and back as well as 2 surviving sisters she cherished, Marie (Loren) Myers and Pauline Arnold. Reda treasured time spent with them and was known for her bright smile and kind heart. Reda was a woman of many talents. She taught herself the art of upholstery, loved gardening, sewing, cooking and crafts, often sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends. Despite facing significant health challenges, her faith in her Lord remained strong.
Reda was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Gladys Blankenbeckler; her first husband, William Goodman; her second husband, John Good; and her children Warren Goodman, Robert "Oscar" Goodman, and Shelia Michael as well as 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Visitation will be held at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, Indiana, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m with Pastor Steve Blaydes, Jr. officiating.
A graveside service will take place at the Bryant-Goodman Cemetery in Rowan County, Kentucky, at a later date.
