Redondo G. "Teddy" Brooks

Redondo Gayle "Teddy" Brooks, a beloved son, brother, uncle, partner, and friend, passed away on July 31, 2024, in Elkins Park, PA. He was born on June 1, 1971, in Baltimore, Maryland, to his loving parents, who preceded him in death. Teddy is survived by his devoted brother Brian and sister Rochelle; cherished nephews Bryce and Johnathan; adored nieces Laila, Alexia, and Ashley; caring uncle Michael; countless cousins; and his loving partner Melinda.
After graduating from High School, he started a career in logistics and enjoyed working in a warehouse environment for the past thirty years. He was never satisfied with the "that's how it's always been done" mentality. With his indomitable positive attitude and unwavering patience, he handled the hard stuff well. You wanted him on your team, and his supportive, nonjudgmental spirit will be missed.
Teddy passionately supported his favorite sporting teams, the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Yankees. He was often seen at events looking dapper in one of his fitted hats and sports jersey. The look was only considered "complete" with matching tennis shoes and a custom watch. He never lost his love for Baltimore, enjoying his hometown's favorite foods while visiting childhood friends and the old neighborhood.
He was also passionate about embracing new activities, spending weekends with loved ones, bowling, watching his favorite television shows, playing dominoes, and taking cruises worldwide. One of his most cherished memories was summers spent in Healthville, VA, with family.
He is a family man, loved by his biological family and his second family, the Colwells-Perez's. Although Teddy may have been introduced through his loving partner Melinda, he was an essential part of their family structure and will be deeply missed by everyone.
There will be a 2–3 p.m. visitation on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St. York, PA. A service will follow at 3 p.m., with his uncle officiating.
