Regan Howard Obituary

Regan Howard

Regan Gwyneth Howard passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 26.

She is survived by her adoring parents Mara Christian Rosa and Paul Matthew Howard, brother John Christian Howard, also grandparents, stepfather, stepsister, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers, and everyone else whose lives she touched.

Regan was born on January 5, 1999, in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from Rio Rancho High School in 2017. She attended the University of New Mexico to study linguistics, learning Arabic and Farsi. She later learned Finnish through self-study. Regan's true passion was cooking and she began her career as a Chef in 2021. She loved the challenge of creating specialty dishes and desserts for the restaurants where she worked.

Regan was an "Old Soul" possessing bottomless empathy for others, particularly children with special needs and anyone facing struggles. She was wicked smart, deviously funny, irreverent, direct, and a talented, gifted writer and collage artist.

Regan's Life Celebration will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 9:00am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Agora Crisis Center (www.agoracares.org)

My favorite memory with Regan was when we first hung out, outside of work. We tried on shoes that we knew we were not going to buy but we still tried them on and laughed. I will miss her very much.

I know we´re all feeling the weight of this loss right now and it's been hard to find the right words. But what I want us to remember is that, even in the darkest moments, we have each other. We´re a family and we´re here to support one another through the pain. It's okay to grieve, to feel lost, and to seek help if you need it. Let´s honor Regan´s memory by looking out for each other, by reaching out when we need support, and by reminding ourselves that we don´t have to go through this alone.
