Regina Brooks, 57, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1968, to Ernest E. Brooks and Myrtle (Smith) Brooks.

Regina devoted her life to faith, family, and service. For 30 years, she served as a minister with Sakal Ministries in Chicago, Illinois, where she touched countless lives with her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to God’s work. Sakal was her spiritual home that she cherished deeply.

A loving mother, sister, and friend, Regina leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion. She is survived by her children: sons Jeremi Brooks (Acquawna Taylor) of Mishawaka, IN; Jermaine Brooks of Elkhart, IN; and Brandon Brooks of Cleveland, OH; and daughters Breanna Thomas and Destina Thomas, both of South Bend, IN.

She is also survived by her siblings: Earnistine Bell of Phoenix, AZ; Christine Hunt of Elkhart, IN; Ernist Brooks of Bloomington, IN; Fredie (Susan) Brooks of Washington, D.C.; Barbara Brooks of Memphis, TN; Michael Brooks of Cordova, TN; Lawrence Brooks of Memphis, TN; Tonya Brooks of Memphis, TN; Rena Brooks of Cordova, TN; and Tarita (Steven) Thomas of Edwardsburg, MI.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Regina’s life at a visitation on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral going home ceremony, all at the Kingdom Impact Cultural Church, LWW and Olive in South Bend.
