Regina Stoner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mosdell Mortuary on Jan. 20, 2026.
Regina "Gina" Ann Bundy Stoner was born on January 22, 1954, in Kanab, Utah, to Merlin and Rebecca Bundy. She was the sixth of nine children and was raised in Fredonia, Arizona, where she attended school and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1972.

That summer, Gina met the love of her life, Roger Stoner, while he was in Fredonia assisting with the construction of the dike along the east side of town. Their love quickly blossomed, and in 1973, Gina moved to California with Roger. They were married on December 14, 1973, in Encinitas, California, beginning a devoted partnership that lasted 34 years.

After years of patiently hoping to start a family, Gina was blessed with three children whom she dearly loved. Her first child, Devlin, was born in September 1983, followed by her son Kody in October 1988. In July 1990, their family was completed with the birth of their daughter, Shasta - and Gina finally got her girl.

While living in California, Gina kept close ties with her extended family. Sisters, nieces, and other loved ones often spent weeks or even months in her home. She placed great importance on family unity and made sure her children understood the value of their heritage and family traditions.

Each summer, Gina faithfully brought her children to Fredonia for the annual Bundy Family Reunion and returned each Christmas so they could spend time with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. These traditions created lasting bonds and cherished memories that remain strong today.

In 2004, after nearly 30 long years in California, Roger retired, and Gina finally got to return home to Fredonia - something she had been waiting a very long time for.

Gina was overjoyed to become a grandmother in 2006 with the birth of her first grandson, Cason Dominic. In 2009, she welcomed her second grandson, Trace Roger. Her grandsons were the light of her life and a constant source of joy, laughter, and pride. She treasured every moment with them, and her love for them was deep, tender, and unwavering.

In 2008, Gina lost her beloved husband, Roger. Though heartbroken, she showed remarkable strength, faith, and perseverance as she continued forward, always honoring his memory and the life they built together.

Gina embraced her growing family and welcomed Eden, Gunnar, Harper, and Quinn. She also enjoyed getting to know Shasta's fiancé, Sterling Ross, and looked forward with happiness to their future together.

Gina was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger; her parents, Merlin and Rebecca Bundy; and her siblings, Colin and Kerry.

She is survived by her children: Devlin (Shana) Stoner of Fredonia; Kody (Katie) Stoner of Elsinore; and Shasta (Sterling Ross) Stoner of South Salt Lake; her grandchildren: Cason (Shanny), Trace, Eden, Gunnar, Harper, and Quinn; her siblings: Andre (Diane), Shirla, Jason (Jeri), Kyle (Lisa), Merleena, and SuTanna (Keith); and her beloved pet, Tiki.

Funeral services will be held at the Fredonia, Arizona LDS Church on Saturday, January 24, 2026. An open house will be held from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Gina will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Fredonia Cemetery.
