Reginald "Reggie" Eugene Elzy was born January 19, 1957, to the loving parents Emma Cornelia and James Elzy in Indianapolis, IN. He received his primary school education in Indianapolis Public Schools and attended Arsenal Tech High School.
Reggie started working at Teepee restaurant at a young age. Reggie worked for BFI trash company for many years. He also worked at the Indiana State Fairgrounds as a grounds keeper, where he later retired due to a disability.
Reggie loved to sing and dance; those were his two favorite things to do! He was always the lifc of the party at all the family functions. He loved spending time with his family and friends. When he wasn't with friends, he would be in his favorite place at home sitting on the couch watching a good ole Western or reality TV. Reggie also loved to watch sports and going fishing.
Reggie was joined in loving matrimony with the love of his life, Lorna, on February 14, 2000. Reggie and Lorna celebrated 25 yars of marriage in 2025. On December 13,2017 Reggie had a tragic fall, which resulted in him becoming paralyzed. Since that day, he was cared for by his loving, devoted wife until his passing.
Reggie departed this earthly place and gained his angel wings on Sunday January 4, 2026 at 12:08pm at the age of 68 years old, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Emma Cornelia and James Elzy; his sisters Deboral Elzy, Ceretha Johnson, and nephew Avery Elzy.
