Regis W Kubit

Regis W. Kubit passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, PA. He was 92 years old.
Regis is survived by his children Regis Kubit, Andrew Kubit, Julia Kubit, Bonnie Abend and Hallie Reeves. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Regis was born on December 30th, 1931, in Latrobe, PA to parents Joseph and Juila Kubit. He grew up with his five siblings up in Ambridge, PA. He attended Ambridge High School and played on the football team. He went to Drexel University in Philadelphia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1955. At Drexel, he was a member of the baseball team and Theta Chi Fraternity. Regis spent many years involved in Drexel alumni groups and was awarded the Alumni Circle of Distinction Award in 2007.
Regis worked as an electrical engineer (P.E.) throughout his prolific career. He worked at Henkels & McCoy and grew their engineering division. Then, at Betzwood Associates, he worked on communication services for cellular towers as well as fiber optic and mobile switch design.
Regis was a fan of baseball and football; he enjoyed playing both sports and was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A memorial will be private at the request of the family.
