Reid Martin Harmon

Reid Martin Harmon, age 96, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on May 17, 2025. He was born on September 19, 1928, in Jacksonville, where he lived a life dedicated to service and community.
Reid served proudly as a firefighter, committing his career to protecting others with courage and compassion. He will be remembered for his strength, quiet dignity, and unwavering commitment to helping those in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Jeanne Elizabeth Harmon (née Cox); his daughter, Dorothy Louise Harmon Steed, and her husband Craig of Jacksonville, FL; and two grandsons, Kyle Harmon Steed and his wife Jessica of Chicago, IL, and Aaron Bonner Steed and his wife Taylor of Jacksonville, FL.
A Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in the Chapel of Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home, with a brief visitation at 9:00 a.m., with Rev. Adam W. Anderson officiating, 4140 University Blvd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32216. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church, 2137 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
