It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Renée Elizabeth Reilly, who departed this life on July 27, 2025, at the age of 78. A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, proud great-grandmother, and beloved sister, Renée leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering family devotion.

Born in New Haven and raised in West Haven, Connecticut, Renée was known for her generous heart, quick wit, and the kind of warmth that made everyone feel at home. Her life was centered around her family, whom she loved fiercely and supported unconditionally.

She was the proud mother of two sons: Joseph Palermo Jr. of Branford, CT, and Erik Reilly of North Haven, CT, along with his wife Jennifer, who were the lights of her life and her greatest joy.

Her family continued to grow with the addition of three treasured granddaughters: Tia Kamerman, Emma Reilly, and Jillian Reilly, and three adored great-grandsons: Kyler, Kane, and Koen, each of whom brought her endless pride and happiness.

Renée is also survived by her four loving sisters: Michelle Lemaire, Denise True, Debra Vidalis, and Christine Youngblood. Their bond was one of deep affection, shared memories, and lifelong laughter-a sisterhood that brought Renée immeasurable comfort and joy.

She found delight in life's simple pleasures: cooking hearty meals for her loved ones, browsing the aisles of her favorite stores (especially during her legendary trips to the Christmas Tree Shops), and celebrating holidays surrounded by family. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of something on the stove.

Renée was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Lemaire, and her mother, Teresa Creighton, whose values and love she carried forward throughout her life.

A private celebration of Renée's life will be held by her family. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, strength, and laughter will never be forgotten.
