Renata Emilia Rodriguez And Gary Michael

Renata Emilia Rodriguez, 50, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Marietta, Georgia. Renata was born to Salvador and Elaine Rodriguez on Torrejon Air Base in Spain and, as a member of a military family, grew up around the world, including Chad, Argentina and Uruguay, before the family settled in the Annapolis, Maryland area. She graduated from South River High School, Edgewater, Maryland, a member of the class of 1990 and earned her Associates of Arts from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York City, in 1993, studying acting and eventually landing roles in a number of stage productions, as well as in television and film.
Later, Renata became a veterinarian tech and esthetician, but continued to love acting, singing and dance. She was a lover of all animals, especially cats. Renata loved adventure and travel, living in and traveling to many places, showing a particular love for the great outdoors, state and national parks.
She died alongside her husband and soulmate, Gary Bowman Michael. She is survived by her parents, her brother Stephen Rodriguez, his wife Donna and nephews Daniel and Christopher, all of Yorktown, Virginia and a brother Richard Rodriguez of Miami, Florida.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Christ the King Episcopal Church, Yorktown, Virginia. Burial will be private in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery, Gloucester. Arrangements are by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, Virginia.
