Renato Hinojosa, born on May 1, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the age of 50. He was a beloved son, devoted father, cherished brother, whose presence touched many lives.
Renato is survived by his children Renato Hinojosa, Jr., Violet Hinojosa and Jessica Ramirez, as well as his granddaughters Julissa Mariah Yepez and Jayla Marie Galan who will carry his legacy forward. His mother, Mary Ann Hinojosa, grieves the loss of her son, alongside his sisters, Maria G. (Gabriel Horta) Hinojosa and Gloria (Eric Shelton) Hinojosa. Renato was a dear uncle of Christina (Edwin Trinidad) Holzendorf, Elizabeth Holzendorf, Phillip Holzendorf, Joseph Hinojosa, Jesse Santillan and Javier Santillan. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles cousins, great nieces and great nephews who will remember him fondly. Renato was preceded in death by his father, Jose Guadalupe Avila, whose memory will forever be a part of Renato's life story.
Renato's life was filled with love and laughter, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace.
