Rene Authier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roan Family Funeral Home - Pembroke on Apr. 29, 2025.
CENTER BARNSTEAD - On April 22, 2025, Rene Paul Authier (67) of Center Barnstead, NH, son of the late Lucien R. Authier (1927-1974) and Therese Gingras Authier (1927-2000) passed away quietly at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH surrounded by his children.
Rene or as many knew him, Paul, Uncle Paulie, and Pepere, leaves behind a large loving family including 5 children, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, many nieces and nephews and countless friends whose lives were touched with his warmth, wisdom, and gererosity.
Paul was predecesed by his brother, Roger in 2023. He loved his family and would do anything for them, whether it was fixing the hot water, building an addition, repairing the car, or distracting you from the stress of life. He was generous with his time and knowledge and always willing to show somone the right way to do a job. Nothing made him happier than being together with all of his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of all of them and never missed a moment to brag.
Born in Cape Cod and raised in Rhode Island, Paul spent much of his life in New England where he built a career as a talented carpenter and general contractor. Much of his legacy can be seen all over Rhode Island and New Hampshire in the many homes he helped to build and the lives he touched. Paul was one of those people that no matter where he went, he knew somebody.
Paul loved cars, music, karoke, fishing, camping and being in nature. He worked hard and instilled a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility in all of his children. He served in the US Airforce, assigned to park planes in Minot, ND.
He asks that we not be sad that he is gone, but remember all the fun we had. No matter when death comes, it is always too soon. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
His love will live on in all of us.
There will be a celebration of his life held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 124 Sayles Hill Rd. North Smithfield, RI. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with your family, share a happy memory with us, or lend a helping hand in his memory.
