Rene Kim Zediker, more affectionately known as “Timmy”, was born on July 2, 1960, the daughter of Erwin and Connie (Lorenzen) Meyer in Denison, Iowa. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and received her education from Denison schools.
Rene married Clark Zediker on December 27, 2001. She spent time working with her husband, Clark at Zed’s Construction. As his right-hand woman, she demonstrated an admirable work ethic. In addition to her time at Zed’s, Rene held various positions in Denison, illustrating her versatility and her strong ties to the community.
Rene was known for her adventurous spirit, often exploring the great outdoors. Camping was not just a hobby for her; it was a way to connect with nature, family, and friends, creating lasting memories. Her appreciation for antiquing showed her love for history and craftsmanship, delighting in finding hidden treasures and sharing their stories with others. She also enjoyed playing pool. Above all, Rene held a special place in her heart for her family. The time she spent with them was a treasure, and she cherished every moment.
Rene passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 64 years, two months and 11 days.
Rene was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louie and Edith Lorenzen; parents, Connie and Erwin Meyer; and daughter, Brandi Eldridge. She is survived by her husband, Clark Zediker of Denison; children: Ryan Bigley and Dustin Bigley both of Denison; five grandchildren; siblings: Randy Bigley of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Robin (Brian) Book of Carleton, Michigan, Rhonda (Victor) Santellanes of Denison, Roland (Mary) Bigley of Harlan, Ron (Karen) Bigley of Bridgewater, Massachusetts; numerous nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
Her wishes were to be cremated, and her family will hold her graveside service in the Oakland Cemetery in Denison at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
