Renee A. Butzen (Kaltenbrun), 74, of Sheboygan, passed away surrounded by family on June 13, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. She was born on April 10, 1949, in Sheboygan, to the late Leo and Gloria (Waniger) Kaltenbrun. She attended North High School. On June 17, 1967, she married the late James “Jim” Butzen at St. Clement Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Renee enjoyed coloring, cross stitching, sewing and taking care of her wildlife. But above all she loved her family, especially playing Candy Crush with her grandchildren and cooking for her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.
She is survived by her son, Jesse (Marti) Butzen; granddaughter Quinn, grandson David; brother Dennis (Kathy) Kaltenbrun. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son David, her parents, her mother-in-law Joyce Butzen and nephews Robbie Kaltenbrun and Tommy Butzen, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 2:00PM at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22nd Street, Sheboygan. The family will greet visitors at the CHURCH on Monday, from 11:00AM – 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
