Our unique, loveable Renée Frances Desbien passed away on the morning of January 24th, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in 1961 in Los Gatos, CA to David Desbien & Jacqueline Colfelt. Some of her favorite childhood memories were California summers spent with her close sister Michele.

Renee was the proud mother of 3 beautiful daughters and 1 beloved son, whom she raised in Utah.
“Ren”, as she was lovingly called by her baby brother “Stimpy”, was known for her spicy, fun, quirky personality. She loved music, was an avid reader, & an accomplished pianist. She accompanied church and local choirs, or as another brother said, “She tickled the ivories in places of worship!”.
Renée was preceded in death by her dear parents, loving stepfather, younger sister, and cherished son. She is survived by 12 siblings, her daughters; Roshelle, Lela (Andrew), & Camille, her grandchildren, her faithful friend, Robyn and her adored cat Prince, AKA FatRat.
She found joy in spending time with her 14 grandchildren, whom she loved deeply.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for monetary donations to assist with final plans and expenses.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on February 10th at 11am at Discovery Christian Community 5929 South 900 East Murray, UT
All are welcome… and if your memories of Renée aren’t quite as fond as ours, in her famous words, “Bite me!”.
