Renee A. Griffin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Renee Griffin,our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on December 12, 1937 to Thomas and Rose Pierro in Jersey City, NJ. Renee lived a full and vibrant life, deeply loved and cherished by her family and friends.
Beloved wife of the late John T. Griffin. Loving mother of Kathleen and the late Richard J. Schmidt and John and Denise Griffin. Cherished grandmother of Lyndsay Renee and Ron Hansen, Alyssa Rose Schmidt, Lauren and Peter Fahy, Erica Renee and Olasunkanmi Ebun and John Christian Griffin. Adored great-grandmother of Ezekiel, Teleola and Adeniyi Ebun. Dear sister of her cherished brother Alphonso and the late Antoinette Pierro and her late dearly beloved twin sister Louise and the late Richard Hamilton. Renee also had a very close and loving relationship with her dear nieces and nephews, Toni Ann and Troy, Lisa, Carol and Kenan Yaman, Diane and Vincent Carini, Richard and Mary Hamilton and Joseph and Kimberly Hamilton along with many other nieces and nephews in the Griffin family. Her fur baby Olivia Violet will miss her loving hugs and kisses.
Renee worked for BAE Systems for many years enjoying a long career as a Government Contract Specialist where many lifelong friends were made. After retirement, Renee worked with Costa Construction helping her dear friend Angelo Costa. Renee and John enjoyed many summer seasons in Seaside Park and Long Beach Island. All those who knew Renee loved her gentle and loving sweet nature, spoiling all her grandchildren, great nieces and nephews. We will miss her dearly and have many wonderful memories to cherish.
