Renee E. Hirsch, age 77, passed away on August 25, 2025. She was the loving daughter of the late Ann (Friedman) and the late Harvey Hirsch; cherished sister of Doreen (Ronald) Bell, Howard (Cheryl) Hirsch, and the late Donna Ekstein; beloved aunt of Heather (Joe) Daniels of Arizona, Alex (Kelly) Hirsch, Jordan Hirsch, and the late Ashley Bell; and a dear great-aunt to Lyon, Rylan, and Myles Daniels, as well as Hollis and Margaux Hirsch. Renee was a proud graduate of New Trier East High School, Class of 1964, and earned her degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from National Louis University in Evanston. Her love of the arts led her to study scratchboard at the Art Institute of Chicago and perform in numerous Chicago community theater productions, particularly at Theater on the Lake, located at Fullerton and Lake Shore Drive. Professionally, she worked for several years as the personal assistant to renowned Chef Jean Joho of the French restaurant Everest. Later, Renee discovered a passion for the stock market, which became her final and most fulfilling pursuit. Renee's greatest joy was her family, and she will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Weinberg Friend Memory Center for the gentle and loving care she received. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org. Graveside service, Thursday, August 28, 2025; 1:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Park 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
