Moultrie, Georgia – Renee McGrory, 62, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 26, 1963, in Pensacola, Florida, Renee’s life was a beautiful testament to kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved most.
Renee grew up in Pensacola and, in 1982, married the love of her life, Jim McGrory. Together, they built a marriage rooted in love, laughter, and faith that spanned 43 wonderful years. They raised their three children, Declain McGrory (Pilar), Deirdre Gay (Josh), and Diarmuid McGrory (Taryn) in Cocoa, Florida and created a home filled with warmth, joy, and countless memories. In December of 2023, Renee and Jim moved to South Georgia, where they continued to enjoy life’s blessings together.
Renee’s heart found its greatest joy in being “NeeNee” to her beloved grandchildren, Sebastian, Gabriella, Blayden, Blakely, and Darby. Each one a precious gift she cherished beyond measure. She poured her energy and love into creating joyful, lasting memories with them and treasured every moment they spent together. She adored her dog Dori, and loved her grand-dogs, Chase, Camo, Rusty and Skye, all of whom brought her endless comfort and smiles.
A true friend to all, Renee never met a stranger. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and ability to see the good in others made her someone everyone loved to be around. She had a special gift for celebrating others. She always remembered birthdays, offered words of encouragement, and found thoughtful ways to show she cared.
Renee was a woman of deep faith. She was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Cocoa, Florida, where she built lifelong friendships and grew in her spiritual walk. As a member of Colquitt County, she found a place of home at Immaculate Conception Church in Moultrie where she continued to grow in faith. Her steadfast belief in God guided her life, and she found peace and purpose in her faith until her final days.
Renee was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lonza and Montine Turner and her siblings, Steve Welch. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim, her children and grandchildren, her beloved siblings Doug Turner (Patti), Patricia Gore (Keith), Cecilia Kage (Jeff), Donna Cobia (Hank), Chici Crudele, and Lonnie Turner (Valerie), as well as countless nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Renee’s life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11 o’clock in the morning at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moultrie, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories with a time of visitation immediately following the service.
Renee’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though her time on earth has ended, the light she shared will continue to shine through the many lives she touched.
