Renee Dawn Moore, 63, of Good Hope, IL passed away at 12:50 am on June 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 11, 1960 in Macomb, IL to Berwyn "Gene" and Donna (Rhodes) McCance. She married Terry Lynn Moore on May 23, 1987 inMacomb; he survives.
Also surviving is her mother Donna McCance of Macomb, a daughter Courtney (Tim) Formhals of Carthage, IL; step-son Jeremy (Jenny) Moore of Rio, IL; 6 grandchildren Lyla Formhals, Lily Formhals, Lucy Formhals, Julian McClay, Audrey Morss, Victoria Morss, and 1 great granddaughter Dolly McClay; four siblings, Grace (Peter) Wenz of Springfield, IL; Gayla (Bruce) Sullivan of Bushnell, IL; Mike (Tanya) McCance of Bardstown, KY; and Marla (Paul) Chadderdon of Bushnell, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Renee was preceded in death by her father Gene McCance.
Renee worked at The Elms for 35 years, serving a variety of roles, retiring as the Director of Business and Personnel in 2015. During her career at The Elms, Renee developed many friendships which she maintained until her passing.
Family was the center of Renees life which ultimately led to Renees decision to retire. She loved spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren. Renee always emphasized the importance of gathering as a family and making lasting memories, many of which were made at Spring Lake Campground where Renee spent the majority of her summers.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday July 6, 2024 at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, where visitation will be held one hour prior. Rev. Bob Miller will officiate. Memorials contributions can be made to the Good Hope Park Playground. Please sign the guestbook and leave condolences at www.martinhollisfh.com.
