Renee Schulman's life spanned ninety-six years. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, surrounded by loving family.

Renee is now joined with her beloved husband of 67 years, Bernard, and her beloved son, Bennett. She was blessed with a keen intellect, always learning, engaged with books and current affairs. Born in Brooklyn, Renee graduated from the University of Vermont and lived in Connecticut, Ohio, New Jersey and Alabama before spending her final years close to family in Bethesda, Maryland. During her working years, Renee guided families as a learning disabilities specialist. She was a devoted Jew.

Renee's memory is cherished by her two children; Judith Schulman Miller (Rabbi Jonathan Miller) and Dr. David Schulman (Luisa Schulman); five grandchildren: Rabbi Aaron Miller (Lauren), Alana Miller (Benjamin Gore), Dr. Ruth Schulman, Benjamin Miller (Dana Karangelen), and Diana Schulman. Renee delighted in her great grandchildren Eliana and Avital Miller, Judah and Theodore Gore. And she was exceptionally close to her sisters Barbara Schwartz and Phyllis Waldman and their families with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock on Tuesday, September 16 at Congregation Adas Emuno in Leonia, New Jersey. Interment to follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Maspeth, New York. Shiva will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Washington Hebrew Congregation, Hadassah of Greater Washington or a charity of your choice. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
