Retha N. Spaulding, 95, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in San Antonio, TX.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Dellcrest Funeral Home, 2023 W.W. White Rd. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, TX.
Retha was born on February 22, 1930, in Dublin, TX to R.C. Jones and Stella Chick Jones. She was married to William P. Spaulding who passed away May 5, 2006. Retha had a sense of humor and was very selfless. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was an upbeat and energetic Christian.
Retha is survived by her son, James P Spaulding; grandchildren, Bonnie Allen (James), Benjamin Spaulding, Sean Spaulding, James Wesley Spaulding; great grandchildren, Sydney Ramos (Gabriel), Dayton Martin, Clayton Spaulding, Kylie Real, Ashlynn Spaulding, Nathan Cruz, Mason Spaulding, William Spaulding; great-great grandchildren, Gabriel Ryan Ramos, Dominic Alexander Ramos; numerous extended family.
Retha was also preceded in death by a son, William P. Spaulding, siblings, Antha Rayburn, Lotty Montgomery, R.C. Jones Jr., Alvin Jones, Thelma Mcpherson, Velma Horton, Earl Jones and Roy Jones.
