Reuben S. Moscicki, age 90, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Renaissance Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Sigel. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 485. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
Reuben was born February 23, 1934 in Wisconsin Rapids to Simon and Clementine (Brostowitz) Moscicki. He married Ann Tennessen on October 29, 1966 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Ladysmith, WI.
Reuben started working at the age of 10 for a blacksmith that lived just down the road, saving money to buy ammunition for a rifle that was given to him by his father. It was there that Reuben learned to weld. He became a spot welder at Preway Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids, then continued his career as a welder at Consolidated Papers Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids.
Reuben was drafted into the United States Army, stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana from 1956-1958. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Wisconsin Rapids and his job as a welder at Consolidated Papers, retiring after over 43 years of service with the company.
Reuben enjoyed building and flying radio-controlled airplanes and was a member of River Valley Flyers of Central Wisconsin. He also enjoyed old time dancing at the Sherryland Ballroom, singing in the barbershop quartet, making homemade wine, and gardening. He was learning how to speak the Polish language and how to play concertina. He was a longtime member of American Legion Post 485 in Rudolph.
Reuben is survived by his daughter, Patrice Moscicki of Pewaukee; brother, John (Linda) Moscicki of Hartford, WI; sister, Debra (Daryl) Marti of Wisconsin Rapids; special friend, Fran Bailey-Gokey of Wisconsin Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Ann; and his sister Phyllis (Raymond) Haas.
Memorials may be designated to Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.

Yes, I remember Rueben from high school at AHS. He was a friend to everyone and a good friend he was. Sorry to hear of his passing. God Bless.
