Williamsburg-Reverend Timothy Curtis Miller was born May, 24, 1954, in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of Curtis Donald and Dorothy Helen (Gysan) Miller. He graduated from Margaretta High School in Castalia, Ohio in 1972. He also attended Waldorf Junior College, Capital University and graduated from Trinity Seminary in Columbus, OH in 1980. On June 19, 1976, Tim was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Wierson in Ames, IA. Tim has served the Lord as Pastor in Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Iowa communities. Tim enjoyed gardening, spending time outside, getting to know everyone he has ever crossed paths with and spending time with his grandchildren. Tim has been an active member of the Williamsburg Kiwanis, Lions Club, helped with the Iowa County Food Bank, Essence of Life Hospice and the First Lutheran Church Flame Fund.
Tim died on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg at the age of 71 years.
He is survived by his children, Jason (Shonna) Miller of Anamosa, Andrew (Sage) Miller of Altoona and Letha (fiancé Zack Polkinghorn) Miller of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Dallas, Daniel (fiancé Rory Bickler), Daylor, Sydney, Jackson, Maxwell and Charlotte; three siblings, Brenda (Jack) Ried of Castalia, OH Stanley (Sheri) Miller of Sandusky, OH, and Deb (Jay) Cordoba of Albany, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara October 29, 2025.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the First Lutheran Church north of Conroy. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Essence of Life Hospice or The Flame Fund.
